RCA Studio II (1977) | |
| |

|
RCA's Studio II games console is of historical interest being the first on record to be used by
disabled gamers using adaptive technology.
The black and white games featured here include 10-pin Bowling, Space War and a Pong type game. |

Atari VCS (1977) | |
| |

|
The Atari VCS (aka Atari 2600) was a massively popular machine in
the late 1970's and 80's and quite rightly. It was the first machine to officially bring Space Invaders
into people's homes.
Through emulation a number of games can be played one-switch style. Other 'paddle' based games can be controlled using the likes of a head-tracker.

Commodore PET (1977) | |
| |

|
The Commodore PET was one of the first home Personal Computers, released in 1977. Included here due to "Air Attack"
one of the first ever fully one-button playable games.
|
| | SEGA Megadrive (1988) | |
| |

|
Bringing Sonic the Hedgehog to the world, the SEGA Megadrive (aka Genesis) is a much loved machine.
Seeing very little in the way of alternative access in its lifetime, emulation makes play possible for those unable to deal with the standard joypad.

LEGAL NOTICE: Many game ROMs remain the copyright of the original owners who may or may not be happy for
them to be played under emulation. Put in the context of these games impossible to play in their original
format for some disabled gamers and I would hope that attitudes would be more relaxed. Support
developers by letting them know why you can't play their games and offer some solutions.
