Each handset is adapted with a 3.5mm switch socket, ON/OFF switch and analogue trigger.
Two independent regulated power supplies allow for the speed of each car to be adjusted.
A cable-tie system allows for the trigger to be pulled in so you can race against a drone car, or set a cruise control for your car. Press the accessibility switch for TURBO boosting!
User instructions here.
The kit: The switch accessible racing kit consists of 2x power supplies with adapted handsets, 1x power track and one extra short piece of track. Part shown above.
Ideas
• Play alone, head to head or in teams.
• ON/OFF switch can help for fair racing.
• Drive using the trigger and/or switch.
• Drive against a drone car.
• Beat the clock. E.g. Race 10 laps within 2 minutes.
• Catch your rival, starting at opposite ends.
• First to 10 laps is the winner.
• Best drift or crash within 5 laps is the winner.
• Last one standing is the winner.
• Lap a Sunday (slow) drone driver as many times as you can within 5 minutes. Best score wins.
Cruise control driving requires careful tweaking. Use the cable-tie to pull the trigger in, and adjust the power supply voltage to a reasonable speed where the car safely goes around the track without flying off. Use the switch for TURBO BOOST.
Note: Different cars and different lanes have different advantages. You may wish to introduce some sort of handicap system to make races fairer.
NOTE: Accessibility switchers are not included. Avoid Digital and micro as these are not compatible. Use under the guidance of a responsible person.

The C8222 track converter kit enables older (pre 2000) Scalextric track with round connectors to link into the modern Sport square connectors. This can be a cheap way to get LOTS of track.
